Building Confidence and Healing with Compassion

Kelsey Brochu

Canadian Certified Counsellor (# 11255094)

I offer a relational, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach to help you better understand yourself, navigate life’s challenges, and feel less alone along the way.

Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected, stuck, or like they have lost themselves. You may struggle to see your own worth, put yourself first, or feel caught in patterns that are no longer helpful. Maybe you're navigating relationship challenges, having difficulty processing your emotions, or noticing how past experiences continue to impact your present. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I take a relational, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, with the goal of creating a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. Together, we'll explore the emotions, beliefs, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck while creating space for greater self-understanding and meaningful change.

My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can slow down, make sense of your experiences, process your emotions, and reconnect with your most authentic self to create a life that feels meaningful to you.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our fur babies and love being outdoors in nature. Hiking, paddleboarding, and camping are some of my favourite ways to unwind, and I try to get out to the mountains whenever I can. When I’m not adventuring, I tend to be more of a homebody and enjoy curling up with a cozy blanket and a good book, junk journaling, or playing board games with friends and family.

My Experience

Prior to becoming a therapist, Kelsey spent over eight years working as a registered nurse in mental health and addiction. During this time, she supported people through some of their most vulnerable experiences, which shaped her compassionate, trauma-informed approach.

Her background in nursing and kinesiology allows her to bring a holistic perspective to therapy, recognizing the connection between the mind, body, and spirit in the healing process.
